Voice of Pakistan on Women in Climate Action: Celebrating Resilience

GICC seeks to stimulate thoughtful discourse on the intersectionality of gender and climate resilience and to foster creative thinking towards building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
Participants are encouraged to explore and analyze the challenges women face in the context of climate change and critically reflect their role in climate resilience. They can propose innovative solutions that empower women to contribute effectively to climate resilience efforts or highlight the efforts of the women already working on the frontlines, in the face of climate change induced disasters.
Let your innovative ideas and unique perspectives flow freely to contribute to a dynamic and enriching discussion on the theme of “Women in Climate Action”.
To facilitate the submission process and the subsequent follow-up process, please consider the following guidelines, information, tips, terms and deadlines mentioned.
Eligibility:
Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 at the time of submission.
Submission Guidelines:
- Format: Articles/Essays/Stories can be submitted in English and Urdu, typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, and should not exceed 1,500 words.
- Submission Deadline: All essays must be submitted by 29th February, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
- Submission Platform: Submit entries through the button above and provide your details accurately.
- Originality: All essays must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
Prizes:
Gift prizes will be presented at the event on, 8th March 2024, to the top 3 selected winners.
Publication:
Selected essays will be featured on our website to showcase the participants’ perspectives.
